Headers

The headers are what mount to the circuit board.  They are the male pins that the female connectors plug in to.  These tend to be damaged when a neglected battery is left to decompose on the circuit board.

Header pins should be bright, and shiny.  If they are dull, green or tarnished - Replace them!
