Description:

A scratchy, worn, or missing volume potentiometer is one of the most common small faults on Williams System 3–11 sound boards — and one of the easiest to fix without touching the original board. This Remote Volume Control Board is a plug-and-play replacement: a custom PCB with a high-quality rotary potentiometer and a 4-pin header that connects directly to the existing Williams wiring harness, restoring smooth, reliable volume adjustment in minutes.

It also doubles as a bench-testing tool — pair it with our Remote Speaker Test Board to run a Williams sound board on the bench with working volume control and a known-good speaker, without needing the original cabinet wiring.

Fixes: scratchy volume control, a worn or missing original potentiometer, sound that's too loud even at minimum, a volume control that's hard to reach in the cabinet, and restoration projects that need reliable audio adjustment from scratch.

How to use it:

1. Unplug the original volume control header from the sound board (or locate the equivalent connector if the pot is already missing).
2. Plug this board's 4-pin header into that connector.
3. Mount the board wherever is convenient — the original location, elsewhere in the cabinet, or on the bench — and adjust the rotary knob to set the volume.
